Matthew Gillett, P.Eng

Matthew has over 20 years within the oil & gas industry, and has extensive experience in large drilling projects within Western Canada, specifically in horizontal, directional and multi-leg open hole horizontal wells. In addition, he has also overseen a number of Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) projects, in order to assist clients with meeting their environmental goals. In 2004, Matthew completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Calgary in Chemical Engineering, with a minor in Petroleum Engineering.

Jason Dumanowski, P.Tech (Eng.)

Jason has over 25 years within the oil & gas industry, in the areas of engineering, field supervision and personnel management, for a large number of drilling and completion projects throughout Western Canada. His expertise includes wellbores (sweet, sour, vertical & horizontal) at 500 m to 4500 m, as well as conventional oil & gas drilling, completions, abandonments, recompletions, production optimizations and workovers. Jason holds a Petroleum Engineering Technician diploma from SAIT, as well as C.E.T. & P.Tech (ENG) from ASET.

Rob Lougheed
Vice President, Operations
Rob has over 17 years of experience within the oil & gas industry, with four of those years working in the field, where he specialized in fracturing and wireline. In addition, he also worked for three years at Alberta Energy Regulator, formerly ERCB, where he was involved with drilling and completions in the Well Operational Group.

Clayton Hall
Vice President, Business Development
Clayton has over 12 years within the oil & gas industry, specifically in the area of business development. At West Rock, he is responsible for obtaining new business opportunities, maintaining client accounts, as well as recruiting & placing consultants. Clayton holds a Business Degree from Salem International University.

In 2015, he completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Calgary in Petroleum Engineering, along with his MBA in 2023.

At West Rock, he is responsible for overseeing safety operations, including assisting clients with project safety planning and recruitment. Curtis holds a Petroleum Engineering Technology diploma from SAIT.

Clint is a Completions Engineer, with over 12 years within the oil & gas industry. He has extensive experience in completing deep, sour, high-pressure, as well as southern shallow gas projects. His knowledge of technical operations in completions, workovers and abandonments is vast. At West Rock, he is involved in all aspects of operations throughout Western Canada, including programming and design.

Mike has over 20 years within the oil & gas industry, having graduated as a Petroleum Engineering Technologist in 2001. His past experience includes working as a Well Planner for a directional drilling company, before becoming an Engineering Technologist for thermal (SAGD) applications in 2007. Since 2020, he has also been involved in conventional drilling side. At West Rock, Mike is a responsible for D&C technologist work, along with business development.

At West Rock, she is responsible for client regulatory submissions, including well licensing and data submissions. Jennifer holds an Upstream Petroleum certificate from SAIT.

Susan Magnus
Accounting Lead
Susan has over 18 years within the oil & gas industry, including working for a number of junior and mid-sized producing companies in various accounting positions. For the past 10 years, her primary focus has been within the accounts payable department, working closely with different departments to ensure accuracy of coding and timely vendor payments. At West Rock, Susan is responsible for overseeing a number of large client accounts within the accounting department, as well as assisting the Business Manager with general financial operations.

Junior Accounting Clerk
Rebecca recently entered the oil & gas industry, where she joined West Rock’s accounting department. In her role as Junior Accounting Clerk, she is primarily responsible for the day-to-day consultant and client invoicing for a number of accounts. Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in Psychology.
